Have you heard about the Raspberry Pi yet?  Have you thought of getting one, or have one, but you are still a bit lost on how to take the tastiest bytes [sic] out of your Pi?  Well then, come join us at our own Open Lab Idaho version of a 'Raspberry Jam' meet-up on Saturday the 24th of November at 2 PM and we'll help you wash away the taste of Turkey and Pumpkin Pie with some much tastier Raspberry Pi fun. The Jam is aimed as a free form gathering where we will start off things with a quick overview of what the RasPi is and how to get it up and running.  From there, if there is interest, a brief overview of how to use the Digital I/O pins of the RasPi.  Also we can discuss how the RasPi uses Linux as an OS and how to get things done in Linux on the Pi (and just Linux questions in general if needed).  After that, we can move on to advanced topics like how to program the Pi below the OS and ARM assembly language.

If you have a RasPi, bring it.  If you don't have a RasPi, but you are still interested, just bring yourself, and a will to learn, and we'll make sure you get a chance to play around on a RasPi and help you decide if you want to jump in to the delicious fun that Raspberry Pi is all about.

This event will be located at Open Lab Idaho at 110 W 33rd Street, Garden City, ID next door to The Reuseum. Look for a white cog and beaker logo on the door. See you there!
